Scheme details, rules and exclusions
Regular deposits build a long-term balance, but access is restricted. A planned extension requires a valid Form-4 election within one year of maturity. Withdrawal and early-closure scenarios are unavailable here.

Notified path uses 7.1% only for October–December 2026 (NSI rate table: https://www.nsiindia.gov.in/InternalPage.aspx?Id_Pk=132; DEA notice 30 September 2026: https://dea.gov.in/files/budget_division_documents/R.pdf). From January 2027 the entered rate is an assumption. All-period illustration uses the assumption throughout; it is not a scheme return. Future rates and rules may change.
Deposits repeat from the opening date at the chosen frequency. If that day is absent, use month-end. Interest uses the lowest balance after the fifth day; it accrues monthly and is credited on 31 March, rounded to the nearest rupee (50 paise upwards).
Initial maturity follows 15 complete financial years after the opening financial year. A full regular yearly plan therefore contains 16 deposits. A planned 5-year extension assumes a valid Form-4 election within one year of maturity; this calculator does not submit or verify it.
One new regular account, no opening balance, missed deposits, loans, withdrawals, early closure or residency changes. The ₹1,50,000 annual cap includes applicable own/minor accounts; no other-account headroom is assumed. Eligibility and tax benefits are not assessed.
Illustration, not an account statement or guaranteed return. Eligibility, tax benefits and withdrawals are not assessed. No account or portfolio data is used.
